Chemcare Receives ISO 45001:2018 Certification
Chemcare has successfully achieved certification to the ISO 45001:2018 internationally recognised standard of Occupational Health and Safety management system.
This certification, awarded by BSI Group, recognises Chemcare’s commitment to maintaining only the highest safety standards with any kind of work delivered.
It also reflects the company’s mantra, “Be safe, be sure” and stresses the management team’s dedication to the health, safety, and well-being of all its staff and delivery partners, with everyone working 24/7 to ensure consistency in embedding safety at work.
Michael Sirakovski, Chemcare Managing Director says, “This is a fantastic milestone for the entire team. I believe this is testament to the proactive commitment of everyone involved in the company to adhere to the strictest health and safety standards, especially so when working in such a highly regulated industry such as asbestos.”
The application to get certified for ISO 45001 follows a rigorous, months-long process for the Chemcare team collaborating with the wider CC Group team to improve processes and behaviours with the goal of developing a safety culture modelled after H&S best practice with regards to its asbestos removal and its related activities.
The BSI Group website states the following benefits for an ISO 45001 audit:
Increase organisational resilience through proactive risk prevention, innovation and continual improvement
Strengthening of legal and regulatory compliance whilst reducing business losses
Demonstrates brand responsibility by committing to safe, healthy and sustainable work
One global occupational health and safety system for all businesses, of all sizes
